A Quarterly Cause: Trenton Irwin Football Camp

At PO3 Agency our heart is to give back to others, that is why our CEO established the "quarterly cause" program. Every quarter we sponsor or give back to a certain charity event or organization, as it is part of our mission to actively make the community around us a better place.

This past March, we organized and produced the Trenton Irwin Football Camp, with none other than our amazing, well-accomplished client, Trenton Irwin.

Irwin, former Stanford football player and current wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals, decided to put on this camp shortly after his team competed in the Super Bowl (tough loss but the Bengals will get ‘em next time!). Before his collegiate football career at Stanford, Irwin attended and played for Hart High School in Santa Clarita, California, which also happens to be the alma mater of our CEO, Jessica Campbell.

Irwin decided to host this camp at College of the Canyons, where Hart’s football games take place.We had over 25 professional and collegiate athletes help him coach the camp that aimed to attract football players in 5th-8th grade.

During the event, the kids learned tips and tricks from professional athletes and competed in short scrimmages at the end of the day. Irwin’s goal was to offer an accessible, educational, and unique opportunity for kids while uniting the LA community through football and teaching "life lessons that would. last beyond the day".

The camp was free of charge, and donations were encouraged if feasible, as 100% of the proceeds went to Family Promise, an LA based charity that aims to connect people with programs and services that help them find shelters. Typically, clinics and camps similar to the one Irwin put on are costly to attend, but Irwin wanted to make sure that whoever wanted to participate got the opportunity to and that their family’s income was not a hindering factor. He additionally hoped that donating the proceeds to Family Promise in Santa Clarita would further carry on positive impacts in his hometown community.

Irwin is the epitome of someone who uses his platform for the good, as he is able to share his wisdom to young athletes. He not only proves to be a stellar athlete, but an incredible, selfless individual who holds strong core values that will continue to inspire others and make positive change in the community.
